Product Questions & Answers

What size is this fitting? Half inch, is that right?
Question by: Jean H on Apr 20, 2025, 7:25 PM
Correct, this Danfoss/Eaton Hansen coupling accessory has a 0.5-inch end size on the female end.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 21, 2025, 8:54 PM
does this coupling need any special tools to hook up or disconnect, or is it pretty much hand operated?
Question by: Vince H on Jun 8, 2025, 9:56 PM
No tools required on either end. The FF series is built for quick connect and disconnect by hand, which makes it a real time-saver when you're swapping lines under pressure or in tight spots. Just push, lock, and you're good to go.

got a half inch female end on my setup. is this SDC12FF actually 1/2 female on the end?
Question by: Scott W on Jul 26, 2025, 9:37 PM
The SDC12FF is listed with End Gender 1 as female and End Size 1 as 0.5, so it matches a 1/2 inch female end on that side.

got a 1/2 inch female FF series socket, is this the right dust plug for it?
Question by: Daryl E on Aug 20, 2025, 12:34 PM
For keeping the socket end protected, this is a socket dust plug made for Eaton Hansen FF Series quick disconnect couplings, and it is sized for a 0.5 inch female end.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 22, 2025, 6:02 AM
what material is this dust plug made out of, and will it hold up getting knocked around in a shop environment?
Question by: Hugh B on Apr 17, 2025, 4:01 PM
PVC is what you're working with here. Polyvinyl Chloride is reasonably tough for a dust cap application. Its job is protecting the socket opening from dirt and debris when the coupling is disconnected, not handling pressure or heavy mechanical stress. For that kind of protective role in a shop setting, PVC holds up fine under normal handling.
