Got a spot where I need to tie into an existing 1/4 inch line and the fitting I pulled out was threaded male NPT. This the right replacement?

Male NPT on both ends is what you're working with here, and the 1/4-18 thread spec matches the standard for 1/4 inch NPT lines. If the original fitting was a standard male NPT nipple at 3 inches long, this one should drop right in. Schedule 80 wall thickness also gives you a bit more meat than Schedule 40, so it holds up better in tighter or higher-stress installations.
