got a spot where a 1/4 inch nipple wore out and I need something with a little more wall to it than standard pipe. this schedule 80 got the heavier wall or is it the same as regular black pipe?

Schedule 80 does carry a heavier wall thickness than Schedule 40, which is exactly why folks reach for it when a standard nipple has given out and they want something with more meat to it. This one is also seamless, meaning there's no weld seam running down the wall, so the structure is uniform all the way around. At 2.5 inches long with 1/4-18 NPT threads on both ends, it should drop right in where a standard 1/4 inch nipple was sitting.
