got a little hydraulic connections job, is this nipple actually 5 inches long and what size threads are on it?

For sizing, it is a 5.00 inch long steel pipe nipple with 1/8-27 male NPT threads.

does this come with male NPT threads on both ends, or just the one?

Both ends are male 1/8-27 NPT, which is standard for a pipe nipple. You thread it directly into two female-threaded fittings or ports to make a straight connection between them. At five inches long, it gives you a little room when you need to bridge a short gap between components.
