what's the stroke length on the cylinder in this set, and is 3 inches enough for most pressing jobs?

Three inches of stroke covers a solid range of general pressing, pulling, and alignment work. For most shop tasks like bearing installs, bushing removal, or light structural alignment, that's plenty of travel. Jobs that need longer ram movement would call for a different cylinder, but 60 tons of force with a 3-inch stroke hits a sweet spot for a lot of everyday heavy work.
