This S Series Geroler motor is well-suited for agricultural augers, among other applications, so it should handle grain without issue.

Breaking it in right makes a big difference with these motors. Run it at around 30% of rated pressure for about an hour before you put it under full load, and make sure the motor is filled with fluid before any load hits it at all. After that, keeping your hydraulic fluid clean is the main thing. The recommended filtration standard is ISO Cleanliness Code level 18/13, and the fluid itself should be a premium anti-wear type hydraulic fluid at 70 SUS viscosity at operating temperature. Stay within the 180 degree F temperature limit and keep case pressure under 1500 PSI and this motor should give you solid service life.

Port threads are .500-14 NPTF dryseal pipe thread, which matches the common 1/2 NPT port callout and is meant to seal on the threads for a tighter hydraulic connection.
