got a -10 hose here with a 1/2 inch ID. is this S-1310 the right top assembly for it?

It matches a -10 dash size hose and takes a 0.5 inch inside diameter hose on the hose end, so it lines up with what you described.

fitting says it works with -10 dash size hose, does that line up with a half inch ID hose or am I looking at the wrong part?

Half inch inside diameter is exactly what the -10 dash size corresponds to, so you're looking at the right part. The hose end on this fitting is built to accept a 0.5 IN ID hose, and the swage connection is permanent once assembled. The JIC end runs a 7/8-14 thread with a 37 degree flare, and the hose end hex comes in at 1 inch. As long as your hose matches that ID and dash size, this fitting lines up correctly.

Yes, it's made from stainless steel which should give it good corrosion resistance, especially with that Dura-Kote plating.
