stainless steel on this one -- does that mean it holds up decent in wet or corrosive conditions, or is that more just about strength?

got a -16 hose end, will this S-1116 hook up to a 1 inch male pipe thread port on the other side?

It’s set up with a 1 inch male pipe (MPT) end on one side and a line, hose, or tube end sized at 0.875 inches on the other, with a hose dash size of -16.
