Product Questions & Answers

runs continuous duty on a refuse hauler all day long, will this valve hold up to that kind of use without giving me grief?
Question by: Larry C on Jan 24, 2026, 11:07 AM
Continuous duty is exactly what this cartridge is built around. The RV5-10 is a pilot-operated spool type, which means it handles sustained pressure loads more smoothly and with less heat buildup than a poppet-style relief. Rated to 5000 PSI and 30 GPM, it's well within the demands of a refuse hauler running full shifts. One thing worth noting: if you're running above 3000 PSI, you'll need a steel housing for the cavity. Aluminum won't cut it at those pressures.

What kind of applications does this relief valve work for? Like, what kind of equipment?
Question by: Denise Y on Dec 21, 2025, 9:51 PM
These valves are often found on mobile equipment like harvesters and refuse trucks, plus various industrial setups.
