Product Questions & Answers

got a harvester that keeps blowing relief valves and wondering if this RV3A-10-S-0-18/11 would hold up better than what we been running. what's the max pressure it can handle before it starts having problems?
Question by: Billy T on Aug 13, 2025, 4:10 PM
For most mobile equipment like harvesters, 3600 PSI is the ceiling on this valve. One thing worth knowing upfront though: anything running above 3000 PSI requires a steel housing. If you're using aluminum, you'd need to stay under that 3000 PSI mark. The valve itself comes preset at 1100 PSI but adjusts anywhere from 300 to 1800 PSI via screw, so there's good range to dial it in for your specific system without swapping hardware every time conditions change.

got a tight spot on a mobile rig, is this one pretty compact or am I gonna need a bunch of room for it
Question by: Neil G on Sep 16, 2025, 7:34 AM
For tight installations, it helps that this is a screw in cartridge style valve with no housing included. You machine it into a C-10-2 cavity or use the matching housing sold separately, so you are not mounting a big external body. It is meant to give you pressure control while keeping the footprint small.
