seal kit for the RD556, is this the nitrile version or something else?

nitrile is exactly what this is. The kit is specifically built for the SPX Power Team RD556 model, and nitrile is the seal material throughout. If your application runs into contact with petroleum-based hydraulic fluid, nitrile holds up well in that environment. Just make sure RD556 is the model you're working with before ordering.
