RD Series Double-Acting Cylinder, 55 / 28 Ton (Push/Pull), Inch Rod, Inch Stroke

On the push stroke it’s rated for up to 55 tons, and on the pull stroke it’s rated for up to 28 tons. The effective area is listed as 11.04 sq in for pushing and 5.63 sq in for pulling, which lines up with the different force ratings.

Pull capacity on this cylinder runs 28 tons and push goes up to 55, so both directions carry real working load. The load cap snaps out to expose internal piston rod threads for pulling applications, and those threads are rated to handle the full tonnage. You're not giving anything up on the pull side by using the same unit. Two 3/8" NPTF female half couplers are already built in, one for each circuit, so rigging it into a double-acting system is straightforward.
