got a job where i need to pull on a rod, not just push. will that hollow plunger setup work for both?

hollow plunger on this one -- does that mean you can run a bolt or rod through the center of it while its under load?

Yeah, that's exactly what the hollow plunger is for. The through-hole design lets you pass a threaded rod, bolt, or cable straight through the cylinder while it's working. That's what makes it useful for tensioning and tie-rod applications where a solid plunger just won't cut it. It handles pushing on its own, and when you rig it with a pull collar or similar setup, you can get pulling force out of it too.
