Fitting works without tools right? Got a pneumatic line I need to tie into and really can't be tearing things apart for long.

Push the tubing straight into the fitting until it seats and you're done. No tools, no fittings to thread by hand, no clamps. When you need to pull it back apart, just press the collet ring in with two fingers and slide the tube out. The whole thing is reusable, so you're not throwing it away every time you disconnect it.

got 8mm plastic tube already, will this push-to-connect end fit it and what’s on the other side thread-wise?

Built for 8.00 mm tube OD on the push-to-connect side, and the male end is 1/4-19 with a universal BSPP/BSPT thread in a straight configuration.
