these cam and groove couplers got a safety pin feature or do you have to buy that separate?

Built right into the female half. The lugs on this coupler are shaped to accept safety pins once they pass through the slots in the cam lever arms. Once a pin is in place, the coupler won't disconnect until you pull it out. Nothing extra to buy for that function, it's part of how the coupler is made.

What kind of stuff can I run through this coupler without it eating up the seal?
