This gear pump is compatible with standard hydraulic fluids, within the viscosity and temperature ranges specified. Normal operating range is 85 SUS to 297 SUS, and temperature should be between -4°F to 185°F with the standard Buna-N seals.

At 3.92 cubic inches per revolution, the continuous speed rating of 2250 RPM applies at the working pressure specified for that displacement range. Salami publishes a displacement-versus-speed table for the PG331 series, and the rated flow of 30.1 GPM reflects operation at that speed under those conditions. If you're pushing toward the upper end of the pressure range, expect the continuous speed ceiling to shift downward in line with what that table shows for your specific operating pressure.
