PFR2-10 Series 3-Port Pressure Compensated Priority Flow Control Cartridge Valve, 6.0 - 12.0 GPM Screw with Locknut Adjustment

Pressure compensated priority control is the whole point of the PFR2-10. It maintains a constant priority flow from port 1 to port 3 based on the screw and locknut setting, even if pressure changes downstream on port 3. Any flow above that priority setting is sent over to port 2.

Pressure compensated priority flow controls are built exactly for that situation. The valve pulls from port 1 and sends a constant, regulated flow to port 3 regardless of pressure swings downstream. Anything above that set priority amount gets pushed out port 2. So your steering circuit stays fed at the priority setting even when the rest of the hydraulic load is bouncing around. The adjustable range on this one runs from 6 to 12 GPM, and the factory sets the upper limit, so you work down from there to dial in what you need.
