Running this off 220 volts -- does the amp draw stay manageable at full pressure, or is it gonna trip breakers on a standard circuit?

At 230VAC, full load draw comes in at 15 amps, which is well within what a standard 20-amp 220V circuit can handle. That's one of the practical advantages of running it at the higher voltage instead of 115V, where the draw jumps up to 25 amps. Just make sure your circuit is dedicated and properly sized and you shouldn't have any nuisance tripping even when the pump is working hard at or near 10,000 PSI.

For a single-acting cylinder setup, it fits the bill. This PE55 series unit is specifically listed for use with single acting cylinders, and the valve function is set up as pump on to extend, off to hold, then off and you manually shift the valve to return.
