what's the temperature range on this wear ring? got equipment running in some pretty cold conditions and want to make sure it holds up
Question by: Dustin T on Feb 12, 2026, 8:37 AM
Rated from -40°F up to 250°F, so cold weather operation isn't going to be a problem. That lower end covers just about any outdoor or unheated facility environment you'd realistically run into.

got a cylinder with a 4.5 inch bore, is this the wear ring size i need or am i mixin things up
Question by: Eddie W on Apr 21, 2025, 8:26 PM
Fit comes down to the ring dimensions, not just the bore callout. This nylon wear ring is 4.50 inch OD, 1/8 inch thick, and 1/2 inch wide, so you would match those numbers to the wear ring groove and the OD you need.

trying to match up a wear ring i pulled out, are the sizes on this one 4.50 OD with a 1/8 thick wall and 1/2 wide?
Question by: Rhonda K on Apr 14, 2025, 12:21 PM
Fit comes down to those three dimensions. This nylon wear ring is 4.50 inch OD, 1/8 inch thick, and 1/2 inch wide, so it matches if your old ring measures the same.

What's the deal with these wear rings? What exactly do they do?
Question by: Judy B on Oct 10, 2025, 7:44 PM
These nylon wear rings are designed to handle compressive forces up to 35,000 PSI, so they can support a good amount of load in your hydraulic system.
