what's this gasket made out of, and will it hold up around hydraulic fluid without breaking down on me?

Nitrile is the material, and it handles hydraulic fluid exposure well. That's actually one of the main reasons nitrile gets used in hydraulic sealing applications. This particular gasket is rated down to -25 degrees for working temperature, so it's got a decent range for most shop and field environments running standard hydraulic systems.

got a tube and pipe joint that see’s a lot of shake, is this Flexmaster gasket meant to help with vibration?
