what's the lowest temperature this flexmaster gasket can handle before it starts giving trouble?

Buna-N has its limits in the cold, and this one is rated down to negative 25 degrees minimum working temperature. Below that you'd be pushing outside of what the material was built for, so as long as your setup stays above that threshold you're in good shape.
