got a 3/8 air line setup in the shop. is this hose ok for running pneumatic tools all day

For production-line air and shop air use, it’s built for pneumatic tools and for transferring lubricated air to valves and cylinders. The working pressure is rated up to 250 PSI, and for air service the temperature range is -40F to 160F.

hose says it works for low-pressure hydraulics but also air and water -- what exactly is this thing best suited for day to day?

Pneumatic tools on production lines are where this hose really earns its keep. It moves air, water, oils, and other fluids without complaint, and it handles lubricated air delivery to valves and cylinders well. For low-pressure hydraulic work it gets the job done too, just not in impulse applications. The vinyl nitrile construction gives it solid oil resistance, so it holds up in shop environments where things get messy.
