got a hydraulic cylinder that’s leaving a little oil and grit on the rod, is this clad rod wiper meant to clean that up?

On hydraulic cylinders, the rod wiper’s job is to wipe the rod as it moves in and out so dirt and debris do not get pulled back into the sealing area. The Hercules Clad Rod Wiper is made for that rod wiping function.
