got a 2-1/2 inch black pipe run, is this coupling the right size to join two threaded ends?

For tying two same size threaded pipe ends together, it’s a 2-1/2 inch malleable iron coupling with female pipe threads on both sides, made to American Briggs Standard pipe threads.

these thread american standard or some other type? tryin to make sure it'll match up with what i already got running

American Briggs Standard for pipe threads, so it'll mate up with standard NPT pipe fittings without any issues. That's the most common thread type you'll run into on pipe systems in the U.S., so chances are good it'll work right with whatever you've already got in place.
