got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC, i need to tie it into a 1/4-19 BSPP port. is this the right adapter?

For that thread jump, yes. It is a straight steel adapter that mates a 1/4-19 male BSPP (British Parallel) on one side to a 7/16-20 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel on the other.

Got a hydraulic line running 1/4-19 BSPP on one end and need to tie into a JIC fitting on the other. This the right adapter for that?

That's what this one's built for. One end is 1/4-19 male BSPP, which is British Parallel thread, and the other is 7/16-20 female JIC with a 37-degree flare seat. Straight body, no angle, so it threads right in without redirecting the line. Made by Adaptall, steel construction, and the BSPP side does not require thread sealant due to the precision of the thread form itself.
