Product Questions & Answers

what exactly makes a banjo fitting different from a regular inline brake fitting, and when would you actually need one?
Question by: Connie P on Jan 6, 2026, 7:48 PM
Banjo fittings work by letting fluid flow through a hollow bolt into a port that sits at a right angle to the line. A standard inline fitting connects end to end, so when you're working in a tight spot where there just isn't room to run a straight line in and out, a banjo gives you that perpendicular entry point without fighting the geometry of the surrounding hardware. They're common in brake line fabrication and repair where the mounting surface or surrounding components don't leave room for a conventional connection.

Will this banjo fitting work okay for replacing a leaky brake line on my old Ford pickup?
Question by: Duane J on Jun 15, 2025, 3:42 PM
Designed for use in hydraulic brake line assemblies, this Brakequip banjo fitting provides a secure connection point where a standard inline fitting won't quite do the trick. It's a direct-fit component, so it should work for brake line repair, as long as your system uses a banjo-style connection.
