Product Questions & Answers

got a small shop air line setup, is this blue hose ok for air tools and what pressure can it handle
Question by: Rod T on Apr 27, 2025, 6:09 AM
For shop air and general air and water service, it’s a good fit as long as you stay within its limits. The maximum operating pressure is 250 PSI, and for air service the temperature should not exceed 250°F.

got a shop compressor running air lines to a few pneumatic tools, this blue hose rated for that kind of use?
Question by: Bobby T on May 20, 2025, 3:11 PM
Air service is one of the primary uses this hose was built for. It handles up to 250 PSI and stays flexible down to negative 40 degrees F, so cold shop mornings won't make it brittle. Just keep in mind it's not approved for air brake applications, so don't run it on any brake system lines. For general shop air and pneumatic tooling, you're in good shape.

Running this on an air compressor setup at the shop, it says 250 PSI max, but what's the temp limit when it's carrying air?
Question by: Jean H on Jun 9, 2025, 9:37 AM
For air service, the upper temperature limit is 250 degrees F. The hose handles a wide range overall, rated from -40 degrees F all the way up to 300 degrees F, but air use specifically is capped at 250 degrees F. That half-inch inside diameter and 250 PSI pressure rating make it a solid fit for most shop air lines, as long as you stay within those boundaries.

got a tight spot to route it, how sharp can i bend this 1/2 inch blue hose without kinkin it
Question by: Ross K on Aug 28, 2025, 9:46 PM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 5 inches. Keeping your bend at 5 inches or larger helps it hold its shape and flow without stressing the textile braid reinforcement.
