pump says CW rotation on the tag, but I need it to spin the other way for my setup, is that something that can be changed out in the field or do I need a whole different unit?

Field reversible pump direction is actually a listed feature on this L2 Series, so you're not stuck buying a separate unit just to flip the rotation. That's a nice flexibility to have when you're retrofitting into an existing system that was plumbed the opposite way.
