Will this nipple work with standard air compressor fittings, or is it something special?

This Dixon Valve nipple uses a 1/2 inch male NPTF thread, which is designed to create a dry-seal connection without needing sealant in many setups. So, it should play nice with most standard air compressor fittings using the same thread type.
