What size range does this clamp fit? Need to make sure it'll work on my hose.

bolts on this thing, do they need any kind of grease or anti-seize before torquing down?

Keep the bolts dry when you're torquing them. The 40 lb-ft torque rating on this clamp is based on dry bolt conditions, and putting any lubricant on them will throw off the clamping performance. It's one of those details that's easy to overlook but makes a real difference in how the clamp holds.

got a hose that measures right at 3 3/4 inch on the outside, will this clamp tighten down on that ok?

It covers hose outside diameters from 3.50 inches up to 3.8125 inches, so a 3.75 inch OD falls inside the adjustment range.
