Product Questions & Answers

got a carbureted small engine that runs warm, would this hose work for the fuel line or is it more for cars
Question by: Brett F on May 28, 2025, 7:49 AM
For low pressure, high temperature fuel lines, it fits right in on passenger cars, light trucks, and small engine setups. The nitrile tube is meant to handle higher heat, and the neoprene cover is built to take abrasion.

got a lawn tractor and a couple small gas engines on equipment around the property -- this hose rated for that kind of use or is it more of an automotive thing?
Question by: Warren S on Jun 8, 2025, 12:23 PM
Small engine applications are actually one of the primary uses for this hose. It carries the SAE 30R7 certification and is built around a nitrile tube with a neoprene cover, which holds up well under the heat and fuel exposure those kinds of engines produce. The 1-ply fiber braid construction keeps it flexible enough to route in tight spaces, and the minimum bend radius is 1.5 inches, so working around compact engine compartments is pretty manageable. Just keep in mind it is not rated for fuel injection systems, so if any of your equipment runs a fuel-injected setup, this would not be the right fit.

Is this hose okay for running fuel lines on my old pickup truck?
Question by: Lynn C on Dec 29, 2025, 10:26 AM
This Weatherhead hose is designed for low-pressure and high-temperature fuel applications in passenger cars, light trucks, and small engines. Just keep in mind it's not meant for fuel injection systems.
