Clockwise rotation is fixed on this unit, so running it backwards would be a problem. The shaft turns clockwise when you're looking at it from the drive end, and the internal components are built around that direction. If your power source spins the other way, you'd need a pump spec'd for CCW rotation instead. Worth double-checking your PTO or motor shaft direction before ordering.
