Product Questions & Answers

brass body gonna hold up okay for lower pressure hydraulic work, or should i be looking at the steel version instead?
Question by: Phil G on Mar 11, 2026, 6:33 AM
Brass bodies on these inline check valves are rated for lower pressure hydraulic systems and pneumatic applications. With a 2000 PSI maximum operating pressure and a flow rating of 10 GPM, this particular valve sits right at the upper end of what brass is suited for in hydraulic service. If your system runs at or near that ceiling regularly, the steel version would be the stronger long-term choice. For lighter-duty hydraulic circuits or pneumatic lines that stay well below 2000 PSI, the brass body handles it fine.

cracking pressure on this one says 1 to 2.5 PSI -- is that low enough to work in a pneumatic line without causing backpressure issues?
Question by: Curt J on Apr 15, 2025, 7:05 AM
For pneumatic service, that cracking range is about as easy-opening as you'll find in a valve this size. It takes very little pressure differential to get the ball off its seat, so the valve won't fight your system or create meaningful backpressure under normal flow conditions. The Cv factor is 3.3, which is a solid flow coefficient for a 3/8-inch inline check, and the rated flow tops out at 10 GPM. Brass construction is specifically called out as appropriate for pneumatic systems, so you're in the right territory with this one.

got a 3/8 npt line already. are the ports on this valve female 3/8-18 npt on both ends?
Question by: Shawn B on Nov 28, 2025, 8:00 AM
It uses female 3/8-18 NPT ports, so it is set up to accept 3/8-18 NPT male fittings on each side for an inline install.

What size thread does this check valve have? I want to make sure it's gonna fit my setup.
Question by: Johnny G on Mar 31, 2025, 9:49 PM
This valve uses 3/8-18 NPT female ports, so you'll need to ensure your connections are compatible with that size and thread type.
