got one of these stuck in my hose earlier. how do you get it out
Question by: Debbie C on Mar 17, 2026, 9:13 AM
Firing an empty discharge from the opposite end of the hose is the best way to clear a jammed plug. Hooking your launcher up to the reverse side creates enough back pressure to push it right out.

got a hose that measures right at 1.97 inch on the inside. is the UC50 the right projectile size for that?
Question by: Merle G on Mar 14, 2026, 6:27 AM
For a 1.9685 inch I.D., the UC50 matches that bore size. The sizing guidance for 2 inches or less says the projectile O.D. is typically about 20% larger than the I.D. so it wipes the inside wall as it travels.

What size projectile do I need for a 2-inch pipe? Just wanna make sure I get the right one.
Question by: Shawn C on Dec 16, 2025, 11:49 AM
To effectively clean an internal diameter of 2 inches, the projectile should be approximately 10% larger in outer diameter. Keep in mind that individual circumstances may require slight adjustments in projectile size.

got a 1.97 inch ID hose that needs cleaning out, will this projectile size up right for that or do i need to go bigger?
Question by: Dean G on Jan 24, 2026, 3:49 PM
For hose IDs of 2 inches or under, the projectile's outer diameter should run about 20% larger than the internal diameter you're cleaning. Since this one is sized for a 1.97-inch ID, it fits right in that range. One thing worth knowing: if the projectile ends up too large it won't clear the nozzle, and if it's too small it won't do much cleaning. Should it ever get stuck mid-run, fire an empty discharge from the opposite end to push it through.
