we got a bunch of 3/4 inch hydraulic hoses to clean out. is this the right size plug for that or do i need a different one?
Question by: Warren B on Sep 21, 2025, 7:42 PM
For a 3/4 inch inside diameter hose, the 26mm projectile is exactly what you want. The general rule for cleaning lines under 2 inches is to pick a projectile about 20 percent larger than your hose ID. That extra size makes sure it actually cleans effectively instead of just sliding right through.

got a 1.02 inch inside diameter line i need to clean out. is this the right size projectile or am i gonna fight it

For an I.D. of 2 inches or less, the projectile O.D. is typically sized about 20% larger than the line I.D. This UC26 projectile is labeled for a 1.0236 inch I.D., so it fits that sizing approach for a 1.02 inch inside diameter line.

What size projectile do I need for a tube with a 1-inch inside diameter? Gotta make sure I get the right fit.

For cleaning an I.D. of 2 inches or less, the projectile O.D. should be about 20% larger than the I.D. you're cleaning. So, for a 1-inch I.D. tube, you'd want a projectile that's around 1.2 inches in outer diameter.
