does the vinyl coating on this clamp actually hold up around heat, or is it gonna crack and fall apart after a few months?

Vinyl-coated steel in this application handles elevated ambient temperatures better than bare metal clamps because the coating stays flexible enough to resist cracking under normal industrial heat exposure. It also keeps the hose from rubbing directly against the steel, which cuts down on chafing wear over time. As long as it's not sitting right on top of a heat source, the coating should hold up through regular industrial use without peeling or degrading quickly.
