What kind of fluid can I run through this hose?

This SPX Hydraulic Technologies hose assembly is designed for hydraulic applications. The rubber covering is oil and weather resistant.

rated at 10,000 psi but what's the burst pressure on this thing? trying to figure out how much safety margin we're actually working with before i spec it in

Burst pressure on this assembly is 20,000 psi, so you're looking at a 2:1 ratio against the rated operating pressure of 10,000 psi. That's a solid cushion for high-force hydraulic work, and it's consistent with what SPX builds into their rubber wire-braid line. The hose itself is 2-ply construction reinforced with two braids of high tensile steel wire, so the rating isn't just a paper number.

got a 10,000 psi setup, will this hose handle that all day long or am i pushin it?

Rated operating pressure is 10,000 psi, so it matches a 10K system for normal use. The burst pressure is 20,000 psi, which is a separate safety limit, not a pressure you run it at.
