got an air line that sees about 500 psi sometimes. is this hose gonna handle that or am i pushin it?

Pressure-wise you are inside the rating as long as you stay at or under 600 PSI maximum operating pressure. If your system can spike above that, this hose is not the right pick for those peaks.

does this hose hold up in oilfield conditions or is it gonna break down quick out there

Built for exactly that kind of work. The tube is a nitrile blend that resists oil, and the cover is synthetic rubber rated against abrasion, ozone, and weather. Steel wire reinforcement runs through the whole thing to keep it from giving out under pressure. Oil field drilling is one of the named applications for this hose, so it is well suited for that environment.
