You've got it right. M10x1 means a 10 millimeter outer diameter with a 1 millimeter thread pitch. That's a metric fine thread, so make sure whatever you're threading it into matches both of those measurements. Mixing it up with coarser metric pitches is an easy mistake that'll cause leaks or cross-threading, so double-check your mating port before installing.
