Product Questions & Answers

got a line with M10x1 threads, is this the right female fitting for it?
Question by: Roger B on Apr 19, 2025, 9:47 PM
For a straightforward thread match, it’s a female M10x1 fitting, so it pairs with a male M10x1 threaded connection and is meant to make a secure, leak resistant joint in a hydraulic setup.

fitting says female M10x1, that the thread pitch I need to match up with my line, or is there somethin else I gotta check before orderin?
Question by: Vince R on Jun 11, 2025, 7:21 PM
M10x1 tells you both the thread diameter and the pitch. The "M10" means 10 millimeters across the threaded portion, and the "1" is the pitch, meaning each thread is 1 millimeter apart. So yes, your mating fitting or port needs to match both of those numbers exactly. If your existing hardware just says M10 without a pitch, measure it or check your component specs before assuming it's the same. A thread gauge is the quickest way to confirm on the bench.

Will this fitting hold up if I'm usin' it for brake lines on my old pickup truck? Just wanna make sure it can handle the pressure.

This Brakequip fitting is made with high-quality materials designed to resist wear and corrosion, so it should provide a long service life in demanding conditions like those found in automotive brake systems.
