Product Questions & Answers

fitting's got the extended length on it, is that gonna give me enough reach for a tighter spot where the standard one kept bottoming out before seating right?
Question by: Lynn O on Mar 11, 2026, 11:18 AM
Extended male fittings like this one are built specifically for those situations where a standard-length fitting runs out of thread engagement before it can seat properly. The extra reach lets you get a solid, leak-resistant connection in installations where the geometry is working against you. If a regular fitting was bottoming out without seating, this is the right direction to go.

Just making sure, this is the longer version of the 7/16 x 24NS fitting, right? Need a little extra reach.
Question by: Cheryl E on Oct 31, 2025, 12:48 PM
That's correct. The "Extended" in the name means this fitting is longer than the standard 7/16 x 24NS male fitting. It provides that additional length you need when a regular fitting won't quite seat right.

got a spot where a normal brake fitting wont quite reach. is this the longer 7/16-24 NS male one?
Question by: Dale S on Feb 5, 2026, 6:38 AM
With the extended male length, this fitting is meant for brake line and hydraulic brake circuit connections where a standard-length fitting may not seat right. It uses a 7/16-24 NS (National Special) male thread, so it also fits applications that call for that specific brake hardware thread.
