Product Questions & Answers

got a brake line job where space is real tight around the fitting area, will the short body on this one actually make a difference compared to a standard length male fitting?

Short-body fittings like this one are built for exactly that situation. When routing gets cramped or a standard fitting would foul against a bracket, frame rail, or nearby line, the reduced body length gives you the clearance you need to seat it properly without forcing a bend into the line itself. The 7/16"-24NS thread pitch stays the same as a full-length version, so you're not giving up thread engagement quality to get that extra room.

Just want to make sure this fitting will work for a brake line I'm putting together. It's gotta be 7/16"-24NS, that's what the old one was.

It is a direct-fit replacement for any brake line assembly using a male 7/16"-24NS short fitting. The 24 threads per inch will provide a secure connection as long as your application calls for that exact standard.
