trying to match up brake line threads here, is this fitting male 3/8x24 NF on one side and male 1/2x20 NF on the other?

On this Brakequip fitting, both ends are male, with 3/8x24NF threads on one end and 1/2x20NF threads on the other.

What's the deal with this fitting having two different thread sizes, is that normal for a brake line adapter, or did I grab the wrong part?
