Product Questions & Answers

part number HFIFX15 -- is that the female 7/16NS side that threads into the component, or is the 3/4NF the part that goes in?
Question by: Terry G on Aug 12, 2025, 3:26 PM
The female 7/16NS end is the receiving side, meaning it accepts a male 7/16NS fitting. The 3/4NF side carries external threads, so that end screws into whatever port or component you're connecting it to. Two different thread standards on each end is exactly the point of this fitting, letting you bridge those two sizes in one piece.

got a hose end with 7/16NS on it. is this the fitting that steps it over to 3/4NF with external threads?

For a step-up connection like that, this part is a female 7/16NS to 3/4NF external thread fitting. It is meant to adapt between those two thread sizes so you can make a secure connection in a hydraulic assembly.
