got an older truck with a busted banjo fitting on the brake line, this 10 x 11.7mm size, is that the bolt hole diameter and thread pitch, or is it something else?

The 10mm refers to the bolt diameter and the 11.7mm is the outer dimension of the fitting body itself. When you're sourcing a replacement, you'll want to match both numbers to whatever's already on your brake line assembly.
