Is this fitting actually made just for BMW clutch lines, or can I run it on other hydraulic lines if I need to?

Clutch line applications on BMW vehicles are what this fitting is built around specifically. It won't cross over cleanly to general-purpose hydraulic lines, and using it outside that BMW clutch circuit context isn't what it's made for. If you've got a BMW clutch hydraulic repair in front of you, this is the right call. For anything else, you'd want a different fitting.
