For optimal performance, it's best to stick within the 80-288 SSU viscosity range using a premium petroleum-based fluid. While it can handle fluids up to 3600 SSU, that's the maximum recommended. Cold starts can handle up to 9000 SSU.

For HE2000 Series power units, this Valve A part is meant to be used either way. It can be used to repair or modify an existing HE2000 unit, and it can also be used when building a custom HE2000 Series power unit.

Series and compound wound DC motors in the HE2000 are available in both 12V and 24V configurations, and they're built for efficiency with low power consumption and long service life. So a 24V DC setup is fully supported. Just keep fluid viscosity in the recommended range, 80 to 288 SSU for normal operation, and make sure your system stays within the -13°F to 175°F temperature window. Running clean fluid at ISO 4406 cleanliness level 18/14 or better will go a long way toward keeping that motor healthy over time.
