Product Questions & Answers

got a fuel transfer setup and need red hose, is this one meant for oil and gas or more like hydraulic fluid
Question by: Norm W on Dec 14, 2025, 7:27 AM
For fuel and petroleum transfer is the intended use, so it fits oil and fuel delivery work rather than general hydraulic fluid service. It uses a nitrile tube with a vinyl nitrile cover and has an RMA Class A certification.

This hose is designed specifically for fuel and petroleum transfer applications, so it should work well for transferring diesel. It also meets RMA Class A standards.

what kind of fittings work with this hose, reattachable or do I need the permanent kind?
Question by: Harvey M on Jan 10, 2026, 7:00 PM
Both fitting types are compatible with this hose. It accepts reattachable fittings as well as internally expanded permanent attached fittings, so you have flexibility depending on your setup and how often you expect to swap connections out.

hose is rated down to -40 degrees, but what's it actually made of on the inside where the fuel contacts it?
Question by: Patty G on Nov 25, 2025, 6:50 PM
The tube material is nitrile, which holds up well against petroleum-based fluids. That's what makes it suitable for fuel and oil delivery work. The outer cover is vinyl nitrile, which adds solid abrasion resistance on the outside. So you're getting compatible materials on both ends of the construction.
