trying to pull water out of a pit, is this hose actually rated for suction or is it more of a discharge line?

Built for suction and discharge work, it carries a 28 in/Hg vacuum rating at 68°F, and it uses a rigid thermoplastic helix in the PVC body to help it hold shape under suction.
