Does this fitting need any thread sealant when you put it together, or does it go on dry?

No sealant required on this one. Kuriyama built it so it threads together without needing tape, paste, or any kind of compound on the threads. That keeps the installation clean and cuts out one more thing to mess with when you're putting a line together.
